24th April 2009 - One of our Mayhew International supporters, Angela Humphreys, has very kindly sponsored the hire of Burgh House in Hampstead for a fundraising evening for our international work on the evening of Tuesday, 16th June 2009. This evening will comprise a presentation by Sgt Penny Farthing (ex Royal Marines and founder of charity Nowzad Dogs) who with our assistance rescued stray dogs from Afghanistan. He has written a book about his experience and the dog rescue “One Day at a Time” and he will also be signing books at the evening. Part of the evening will highlight our other work in Afghanistan but also our animal welfare projects in other countries, primarily Russia, Romania, India and Peru. Another highlight of the evening will be musical entertainment (Russia). There will also be a raffle draw with high end prizes hopefully. We have invited the Ambassadors to the UK of all the countries where we work. Please contact Mayhew International for further information.

13th July 2008 - The Mayhew Animal Home Open Day is Sunday, 13th July, from 12-4pm! International Projects Officer Joy Lee will be on hand to answer your questions and share the latest news. Refresh yourself with a Moscow Mule and a blini; browse the merchandise and take part in our raffle (vodka, Peruvian coffee), all in aid of Mayhew International. Sergeant Penny Farthing from Nowzad Dogs will also be making an appearance with Tali, one of the dogs we rescued last year from Afghanistan. See you there!
