Mayhew International is based in London, UK. The office responds to requests for information and advice and directs the running of our overseas projects. Our training programmes are run in conjunction with The Mayhew Animal Home and The Mayhew Community Veterinary Clinic. Once or twice a year, we also send veterinary teams on spay and neuter projects where needed.
Places Where We Work
Afghanistan: We have been working to help animals in Afghanistan since 2001. We funded the construction of a new veterinary clinic for the Veterinary Science Faculty at Kabul University and continue to provide on-going support for its operations. We also support Kabul’s only animal shelter. In 2006-7 Mayhew International teamed up with a small group of Royal Marines to rescue homeless dogs in Helmand province. >>more>>
Russia: We have been supporting the development of animal welfare in Russia since 2001. We currently run a community sterilisation programme for dogs and cats in private apartment shelters. We also work with Moscow Animals, a network of private shelters in the capital, and provide training for Russian vets with an interest in animal welfare. >>more>>
